Windows photo viewer

Ok so like only today this problem started happening :O
I didnt change any setting or nothing.
It just stretches out my pictures for some reason...

I really have nothing else to say because idk why it heppening ? I jsut need a solution :\'

Also it only seems to be happening to pictures that have a longer width thant the hieght

In the file's properties>details tab, what does it state the dimensions as?

when i open it with a another program, paint /cs4 it shows the pic normally.

Sounds like one of two problems.
Either the image was created as a different type, then had the extension changed; or
Photo viewer is corrupted, and needs to be reinstalled.

the file is jpeg :O
how do i reinstall it?

Actually, Im not sure how to reinstall it itself, as its a windows component...
I know in XP it was under add/remove programs>windows components
But 7 is a bit different with that now...

One more thing I'd like you to try: Open the file in notepad.exe
You'll get a bunch of unreadable text. Ignore all that. Just copy and paste line 1 only.

Well actualyl I jsut wasted my time and opend them all on cs4 and re-saved them. So now i can open them.
Just now there another problem... I cant rotate some pictures, it says they are being used or the file is read only. and its only affecting about 5 pics and i litteraly dont have them opened and i tried restarting same error.
