This is my first post... hope I'm doing this right...
I LOVE Picture It 2002, and it doesn't work in Vista premium...
that SOOO sucks...
Does anybody know if it will install and operate in Windows 7 ?
I tried the virtual computer thing and can't install XP on it.
I would never have bought a new computer with Vista if I knew
this would happen...

I still have XP on my computer and am terrified of having to buy a new computer with Windows 7. I also use Picture It and, like many users, have not found a software that can do what it does. I do not understand how Microsoft could eliminate it. You think of technology as getting better. I never thought such an old program would blow today's programs out of the water. I like to put my photos in photo books that you can make on the internet, however, since I don't like their layouts, I do my own on Picture It. I can make a blank picture of 12 x 13 and then add photos to it; adjust the color, brightness, and contrast of these photos; crop these photos; align them left, right, center, top, bottom, vertically and horizontally; sharpen them; add shapes or borders to these photos; clone out things, etc. - all within the confines of this 12 x 13 in. photo and thus don't have to make these edits to the individual photos before I add them to my blank photo. I wish Microsoft would listen to us and bring Picture It back. How hard could it be? If the Mac has a similar program, they will have me as a customer. Please Microsoft bring Picture It back.

Hello Jimmylimo and welcome to the forum.

Whilst looking for info on Windows Picture It I came across this post; Microsoft Picture It! 2002 - Vista Forums
If you read it all the way to the bottom 2 posters claim to have solved the problem with Vista. The Information by boiishuvo also ties in with something I read on a German forum so it might actually work. I can't verify this info myself tho as I have never used Picture it

I hope this helps

Hello,
I just made the switch from XP over to windows 8. And I was wondering if my OLD picture it program would work on this new win8?..I loved that program is was easy to use and did a lot for what I needed without 500 buttons or layers. If I wanted that I'd go purchase adobe photo shop.

Anyway, please tell me I can still use my beloved photo editing program on my new windows 8. After eleven yrs. of using it I know it so well I could probably operate it with my eyes closed.

Also, I just noticed this is a windows7 forum, do they have one here for us windows 8 users?
OK I just found the fourm for 8 users..heading over there now :)
