Windows Registration after Installation Info

HI all

Need to know about windows 7 installation:

I have a laptop which don't have recovery discs or drive. recovery drives were deleted accidently.

So if I reinstall windows by downloading from internet, with the windows 7 key (which is written on the back of laptop) will I be able to register windows as genuine?
