windows registry

Hi,
I hope this is the right section of the forum.
today I mistakenly deleted some entries in my registry and as you can imagine this has caused some problems to my windows.
the entry i deleted is "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FolderTypes".
I have recovered some of the entries copying them from my Windows Vista computer, but some are still missinig.
I believe the entries in the mentioned key are "standard keys": with this I mean they are the same for every user of Win 7.
I wonder if anybody can export such key from the registry editor and post the .reg file here, so I can import it in my registry file.
This should hopefully fix the few problems I still have.

May be easier, to just do a system restore. That is what it is for.

first of all, thanks for your quick reply.
I had already thought about that, but I can not do a system restore because i previously disabled the system snapshot feature. I am a long experienced user and usually don't get into this kind trouble. Even today, before I made my changes I backed up what was needed (the parts I meant to change) but then I misread a key name and ended up deleting from the FolderType key instead of FolderDescription.
If you could export ForlderType and post the .reg file it would be great.

If that doesn't fix the registry entries you could try a startup repair (but again, I dont know if this fixes registry problems; it does copy files from the install disc though): http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html

Hi Thorsen,
already tried no differences... as I said I am an experienced user and I tried several things before posting.
This is a kind of last resource. Of course I could reinstall Win 7 on another partition or HD and then export the FolderTypes from that OS and import on mine, but I figured I could have saved the time just asking to somebody who already has Win 7 installed.
I know I deleted only entries in FolderType and so if I can restore all those, I should be back to have everything up and running. As I said from Vista I got most of the entries back, but some are still missing and so some things still don''t work (for example the Network and Sharing Center is empty even though I can connect to the internet without problems.

Op sorry no problems. I know you are experienced, just didn't know what you had tried. I am not at my comp, but hopefully a user here can export the FolderType registry keys for you.

I tried to upload my exported key and I got this error message:

Your file of 218.5 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 9.8 KB for this filetype.

Let me see if I can break them down some. I can only break them down one key at a time.
