Windows scheduler for system restore creates nothing

I would like to troubleshoot the Windows Scheduler System Restore which currently does nothing, even when activated manually in the Scheduler, or run from a command prompt.

Allthough the task is there is System Restore ACTUALLY on, and configured with enough space.

The task is on, there are two copies created manually, totaling some 830MB with 7+GB allocated. But, this is only part of the story. When there is an automatically created SR point by the Windows update process, it also removes all other copies. I like to keep a couple of SR points, even though I make regular Macrium system mirror backups at regular intervals. In essence, I keep a very strict schedule of comprehensive maintenance.
