Windows Security Updates for this month- any problems?

here we go again, I got 11, installed fine on my windows 7 machine but before i go and install them on all the rest anyone see any problems?

btw kb2863058, when click on "View more info" it comes to a page that says "oops the page does not exist" and I cannot find anywhere what this update is for

Anyone know?

btw I have not seen a hotfix yet for Office 2010 SP2 for the problems with outlook

Yep! Got one big prob...A Blue Screen Of Death with incompatibility with driver (kernel power ID)!

Ms will publish from 8 to 12 hours the article for kb2863058 from the link provided in Windows Update...they usually do like that when its a hotfix.

Otherwise all the others security updates can be viewed from the Microsoft Technet Security Bulletin Summary.

For security updates to be viewed directly in Microsoft Download Center, it is slighty delayed and they will appear in about 1 hours or so on all their sites.

I do not know which one had been causing my kernel power BlueSOD. I'm still investigating and being in the expectation of an answer.

I do not have Office SP2, sorry!

I just installed 11 on my Windows 8 Asus, my Windows 7 desktop is installing them now, 11 of them but before then I had Office 2010 SP2 which was over 400 mb. No problems so far but I've not opened Office yet.

Joan check event viewer after you open outlook and see if you have the error msg everyone is getting

The problem seems to be kb2959537. Uninstall it and see what happens

That one is the kernel drive update, btw I installed that one on 3 windows 8 computers - no problem
This seems to be a windows 7 issue problem only
I bet Microsoft only tested this on windows 8 - <g> I wonder why?

I suspect that you are at least partially correct on this.

They likely performed the most intensive testing on Win8, giving short shrift to XP/Vista/7.


I had no issues installing it on 1 of my rigs this morning, before the problems surfaced here & elsewhere.
I am going to hold off on KB2859537 for my other 2 boxes (Win7/64/IE9/Office2010 SP2 DT and Win7/32/IE9/Office2010 SP2 LT) for now.

Looks my computer doesn't have any trouble since it has updated the registry files at next boot following the BSOD mentionned.

Reading at the Kb2859537 i'm not suprise it messed the start up!

Since i'm on Windows 7 x64 Professional, i'm gonna use the Workaround Microsoft supplied with the Group Policy to disable 16-bit applications temporarily, the time to see what's going on!

Impact of workaround. Users will not be able to run 16-bit applications.

Just got an emal from technet that this Kbps has been upgraded from no issues to yes issues

Funny they say some games will not load. Do they ever listen to their users?
Ppl are getting blu screens, programs are not opening, etc etc

I'm not seeing any issues on either a 32 bit or 64 bit machine ?
Loaded them the day they were released.
No need to hide something which I'm not having an issue with.
