Windows setup Error

I just purchased an Asus T91mt netbook with windows 7 Home Premium. During the first boot up when it was doing its intial setup, it froze for about 30 mins at 56%. Having no other visible option, I held the power button to turn it off, and turned the computer back on. It now brings up a window saying "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click OK to restart computer, and then restart the installation."

This window pops up not mater how many times I let it restart. I have a Windows 7 disc with my pc, but the netbook has no CD/DVD drive, so Im not sure how I can "reinstall" windows without one. Is there a way for me to fix this w/o a drive? Any help in the matter would be appriciated.

There should be a factory recovery partition which can be triggered by key(s) given on first bootup screen, or in your Manual on maker's website. You also have tech support for a year which can walk your through recovery with the bloatware, or you can DIY to get the cleanest possible install:

Extract the ISO from DVD using free UltraISO trial version> Tools>Make DVD Image.

Then write the ISO to USB flash stick using same program Bootable>Write Disk Image: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2432-usb-windows-7-installation-key-drive-create.html

Boot the flash stick using one-time Boot Menu key given on first bootup screen. Select Custom Install>Advanced Drive Tools to wipe the HD (save Recov if you're sure it works) and clean install Win7.

Installer is driver-complete, get any missing drivers or favorite apps from maker's Support Downloads webpage for your model computer.

I have an Asus netbook. Not the same model as you but the problem is the same.

From my experiences, the easiest solution is:
buy or borrow and external DVD drive that connects to a USB port.
Now you can boot from DVD and install with no problems.

The other approach that I've used is to prepare a 4 GB USB stick (I believe there is an excellent tutorial from Brink on this, but I'll check and if not I'll attach the procedure I use.) Now you go to a computer that does have a DVD drive and a USB port and with Windows Explorer copy everything from the DVD to the USB stick.
Set you bios to boot from USB (and this can be tricky with ASUS) and boot from your usb stick and install Win7.

I really recommend borrowing/buying an external USB DVD drive. For the normal user, the other procedure can be error-prone.

I use this procedure however i format the usb as FAT32 (in other words, fs=fat32 in the format command)
