Windows Start sound

I used NETPLWIZ to change the way I log onto 7, but I also want to change the startup sound. I know it's in the REGISTRY, I just forgot where; can anyone help please.

Type the word sound in search, by the start button.
Then click on system sounds.

If you only want to change the "Windows Logon" sound, then you would want to do what Richard suggested instead.

Thanks for the reply richc46, but I didn't meant the Logon sound.

Thanks Brink, the linked tutorial worked just fine. I did come across a strange occurance while doing this & was wondering if you could advise me.

In the attachment, you see I have some partition called System Reserved. I have no idea what this is & was wondering/hoping I can delete it. If so, how do I go about this?

To explain what I think System Reserved may be.

I used my newly-formatted HD & did a clean install using my 7 Pro 64Bit Upgrade disk. I had to do it 2x (clean & then upgrade) for it to be activated correctly. So this is why I believe System Reserved may have been created, am I right?

You're welcome CJW. I'm glad that we could help.

That is correct. The System Reserved partition is created when you do a clean install Windows 7 on a deleted drive/partition. While you should not delete it to make recovering Windows 7 easier, you can use the tutorial below for how to delete it.
