I had problems installing Winzip on my machine.

An on-line help recommended going to msconfig and reducing maxmem to 256.

Having done that, Windows now fails to start up.

Startup Repair doesn't fix it.

I have tried system restore to before the Winzip downloads. Still fails.

Have tried typing msconfig in the command prompt but it says this "is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file".

The problem details under "send to Microsoft" option are:

ProblemEventName: StartUpRepairOffline
Problem Signature 1: 6.1.7600.16385
Problem Signature 2: 6.1.7600.16385

Problem Signature 6: 17
Problem Signature 7: CorruptRegistry
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1

Any idea how to revert the MaxMem back?
