Windows Streets and Trips 2010

Good day,
I am having a problem in accessing my "Windows Streets and Trips 2010" program. This problem just "cropped" up. When I try to access said program I get the following message: "Your registry setting for this application were not copied correctly. To correct these settings run SETUP again for this application from the location where you originally installed it". I have run SETUP two times now and I still get the same error message. I even tried to download/install "Windows Streets and Trips 2011" Trial copy, but I still get the same error message. Evidently something in my registry is messed up, and I do not have a clue on how to correct it. Hopefully anyone out there in Cyber Land can help me? Thank you.

You might try a complete uninstall and try installing the program from scratch. If you have saved map files make sure you back those data files up. I use Street and Trips on a Windows Seven machine and, funny thing, I don't see Streets & Trips entries in my registry. There IS one that allows the creation of New Streets & Trips maps. Nothing under HK Current User or Local Machine.

How are your trying to open the program? From the Start menu or by double clicking a .est file? The program worked before and THEN stopped working?

Maybe a System Restore would fix the problem. I'll keep looking for clues in my system.

Windows Streets & Trips 2010

Hi Rance,

I appreciaste your reply. I have uninstalled ST2010 2 times now and have re-installed only to find the same problem. I even went to the Web and downloaded ST2011 Trial from Microsoft and I still get the same scenerio. I try to open the program from its execute icon. I have a "sinking" hunch that I might have to restore my OS although that is the last resort.
