Solved Windows Update Error 0x8024402C

Hi,

After stopping the Win10 update by hiding KB3035583, and deleting the 6GB update file from my C: drive, I find that Windows update no longer gives me any updates. The last "important" update I got was on 14 Sept.

On attempting a manual windows update, it reports "Windows is up to date - There are no updates for your computer"

I ran the MS Windows Update Diagnostic Tool, and it reports windows update error 0x8024402C.

I have run the system update readiness tool (hotfix for windows KB947821) successfully, but it didn't help.

Then I ran sfc /scannow and attach the resulting cbs.log file in the hope someone can decode it and point me forward. Here is a clip from it which might be a clue:

Amazingly, I have just got some fresh updates through. So despite all the scary problems listed in my CBS.log all seems well. My plan is now to do a fresh install of Win 10 when I am ready with my new SSD, and dual boot with Win 7.
