I had the exact same problem as you and found a solution. In Windows Update directly under the Search for updates-button there is a link saying "Search online for updates" or something along those lines (on a Danish computer here). I clicked that, and the computer simply started updating. I hope this can be a help if you still have the problem or encounter it another time.
