Windows Update error 80073712, Unable to repair

Hi,
I'm unable to use windows update. I keep getting error 80073212 regardless of what I try. Please see Grrr.txt for all troubleshooting done on this topic.

I've added my DISM.log, CheckSUR.log, and WindowsUpdate.log, if that helps. Any help is appreciated.

You are having problems with the Windows Event Log services.

(w) Unable to open Event Log 0x000006B5 Application  OpenEventLog failed: 0x000006B5 - The interface is unknown.

I've met this problem a few times - and sometimes it's caused by interfering software, rather than file corruption. What backup software are you using?

The following error -ERROR_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT - appears over 32000 times in the CBS.log file alone.

I would suggest that you have a look at the following thread - the prognosis is not good
