Windows Update Error 80073712

Ok. Commands were ran successfully. I will have to get the server rebooted sometime later this evening after the office closes though, I can't reboot it right now.

found and fixed 9 errors. assuming i should retry windows update again now, but didnt want to mess something up in case you werent ready for me to try that, so i'll wait until i hear back from you again.

Good - I don't see any reason why we shouldn't give WU another try now.
DO a Check for Updates, and attempt to install ONLY the oldest update found -

If it goes in OK, reboot and try the rest
If it fails, post back with the C:\Windows\windowsupdate.log file.

This should have been exposed by both SFC and CheckSUR :s

It seems happy enough now.

To be honest, looking at the CBS data (SFC is fine), it's a bit of a mess.
There are a number of 'corrupt registry' errors dealing with a number of Packages.
I'm not sure I have the knowledge to puzzle my way through them in any reasonable time, so you may be better off attempting a repair install of Windows, and going on from there.
