Okay, so I recently reformatted my laptop and it's been doing it's usual updates, but the Windows Update has come across a few updates that keep making it error. Error number 800B0100.
I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit.
I've tried the Microsoft fix it tool, to no avail.
Then I tried the system reddiness tool, and I've attached the log file. There are 7 errors, can anyone help me? I think from what I've read online that you need to replace them, how do I get/download the non-corrupt files? Can anyone attach them to a post?
This has been driving me insane for the last few days, please help!
Thanks!

Hello Tiffaasaur and welcome to Seven Forums.

This may not be the answer you want to hear, but since you just recently reformatted and reinstalled Windows 7, I'd suggest that you reformat/reinstall again rather than try to fix a problem that should have been fixed by the System Update Readiness Tool. The Windows 7 installation may have had a glitch which left some system files damaged or corrupt, or perhaps one or more of the updates had a conflict, didn't install correctly, and had a domino effect on the remaining updates.

If you choose to start over again, don't let Windows 7 automatically install the updates. Turn off the automatic update option.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2797-windows-update-settings-change.html

I'd install SP1 first as that will take care of the first 50 - 100 updates. (If SP1 is already on the Windows 7 install media disregard this.)

Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

After SP1 installs (could take about 45 minutes) I'd start installing the remaining updates just a few at a time (maybe 5 or 10 at a time.) Keep track of their KB numbers so if there's a problem after installation you'll know exactly which 5 or 10 to uninstall. Then reinstall one at a time. They'll all install successfully or you'll know exactly which update is the problem. You can leave the problematic update(s) to the end and try again.

Updates are classified as Critical/Important, Recommended, and Optional. I'd install them in that order. It also wouldn't hurt to reboot after each group of 5 or 10. Yes, it's a much slower process but I believe it offers a better chance of having everything install correctly. If you still have issues after all of this, then there may be something seriously wrong with your install media.

December 2011 cumulative time zone update for Windows operating systems
Miscrsoft said:
Important This update supersedes and replaces update 2570791, which was released in August 2011. No additional time zone changes were released as hotfixes after update 2570791 was published.

If you have already deployed update 2570791, read the descriptions of the specific time zone changes that are addressed in this article to determine whether you must deploy this update immediately. If systems are not directly affected, you can schedule deployment at the next available opportunity.

We recommend that you deploy the most current Windows cumulative time zone update to guarantee the consistency of the time zone database on all systems.
Try downloading and installing the update manually. Then run SUR again.
Note: this is an optional update.

Thanks for your responces! I did try and manually download the update, but it still didn't work. So I decided to go with your idea, marsmimar. I've reformatted my laptop again and followed your instructions, and the update installed perfectly. Thanks a lot! :D

Common guys reformatting a system will definitely solve any issues. This is not a solution :D:D

I'll have to agree with shawn77, system format is not a solution, more like changing the PC. I keep getting this error with the KB2732487 update. Tried FixIt solutions, complete clean-up/reset of Windows Update and manual download but nothing works.

Just as for zx81 resetting Windows Update solved my problem.

I managed to avoid the problem by not installing all available updates at once (4-5 at a time is safer). This seems to cause problems some times, especially for new installations with a lot of updates to install.

I'm having the same problem. I can't get updates to work. It has the 800b0100 code. I've tried
all the patches suggested. I can't reformat this laptop because it came with windows 7 64 pre installed
and there is no recovery partition. I have a number of my own W7 discs, but the COA have already
been used. This laptop has SP 1 in it already.

How can I get this update mess fixed ?

Any help is always appreciated.
