I can try and fix those tonight - but more worrying are these errors from your CheckSUR report...

I need to have a look at your COMPONENTS registry hive

Please copy the C:\Windows\System32\config\COMPONENTS file (no extension) to your desktop and then compress it - upload the compressed file to your favoured fileshare site (preferably Dropbox or OneDrive) and post a link.

There's something amiss there - the compression ratio is not right.
I'll have to check it the hard way and get back to you.

I've had a look though the file in regedit, and I can't see anything actually wrong - which doesn't mean there it's all OK, simply that I coundn't see it.
The file is rather small for a Win7 x64, and it's not compressing as much as normal.

Let's carry on anyhow -

I think we'd best run a CHKDSK, since the error type here is such that it indicates a problem with the File Tables in NTFS.

Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.

At the Command prompt, type
CHKDSK C: /R
and hit the Enter key.

You will be told that the drive is locked,
and the CHKDSK will run at he next boot - hit the Y key, and then reboot.
The chkdsk will take a few hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient!
After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) - then run CheckSUR again, and we'll see if that's made any difference.

This is a first attempt at a clearance - depending on permissions for the affected files, it may or may not work.

I've uploaded a file - svdaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder svdaa in the same place.

inside the folder there should be a single file svdaa.bat
right-click on it and select Run As Administrator

A Command Prompt windows should flash up and rapidly disappear - if not, please copy the content to your reply.

If it does run through OK, run another CheckSUR, and post the resulting CheckSUR.log file.

Looks like you ran SFC, but not CheckSUR - I really only needed CheckSUR :)
Please download and save the CheckSUR tool from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821
(you'll need to look in the details for Windows 7, downloading from the Microsoft Download Center)

Run it - The tool can take anywhere from 5 mins to a couple of hours to run (or 'Install') depending on how much it has to do, and may exit silently - it may appear to freeze for most of that time, but be patient.
The result is logged in the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log file - and an archive …\checksur.persist.log file

Then zip the CheckSUR.log and upload it to your OneDrive Public folder so I can take a look - post a link in your reply.

My mistake... Have attached the CBS log post CheckSur in the below link.

Sorry it's been a slow turnaround - been occupied in 'real life' - or what passes for it, anyhow :)

CheckSUR hasn't changed - which probably means that the file deletions didn't happen. but didn't stop the batch file as I expected it to. My fault.

Now we'll have to get a little creative :)

I need to delete these files, but the system permissions are such that they won't let me do it under normal circumstances.

I'm going to get someone else to check my work this time, because if I do get it wrong, it could have consequences...

Back as soon as I get approval - but it could be the weekend, so don't go away!

If we're lucky, this will do what's needed, without affecting anything else.

I've uploaded a file - svdab.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder svdab in the same place.

inside the folder there should be a single file svdaa.bat
right-click on it and select Run As Administrator

A Command Prompt windows should flash up and rapidly disappear - if not, please copy the content to your reply.

If it does run through OK, it'll create a file npres.txt on your desktop - please upload that so we can see what worked/failed.

Then run another CheckSUR, and post the resulting CheckSUR.log file.

The output from my commands is a little more extensive than I'd expected! - however, it seems to have done what I wanted :)

However, it hasn't changed the output from CheckSUR in the way I was looking for :(

Let's try going at it another way...

Please download and save to your desktop the SFCFix tool, from here... http://www.sysnative.com/niemiro/apps/SFCFix.exe
once saved, please run the file, and accept the warnings.
When complete it will create a file SFCFix.txt on your desktop - please upload that to your reply.
