Windows update error code 80073712

Hi,

I am not able to check for updates.

When I attempted to run SFC, I got a message "Windows Resource Protection could not perform
the requested operation".

Please help!

This is likely te source of your problem...

Checking Packages
(f) CSI Unable to Query Store Version 0x00000002

... from the CheckSUR.log file.

Your CBS data is very old- the latest date in the log file is 18 May!!


Open Event Viewer

click on theWindows logs entry in the left pane to expand it.

Now click on theApplication entry - wait while it loads.

Click on 'File'in the menu bar and select Save...

Save the file asAppevt.evtx

Repeat for theSystem log

then zip both,and upload them.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

When I clicked on File in Event Viewer menu bar, it did not give me a save option, so I had to right-click on the Application and System logs.
