Hi,

Since this week i'm having issue with Windows Update. I have four updates that failed. The error i got is: 800B0100 and 8007065E.

I've ran the SURT Tool which gave me this:

I've attached the zip for the CBS folder. Don't know if it's important to mention but this is a French version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

I think we've been lucky - all the affected files are culture-neutral, so far as I can see, apart from the IE10 files, which so far as I know are currently unfixable, as they are due to a bug that MS is currently trying to deal with.

I'll post back with a fix for the rest, later.

I've uploaded a file - sscaa.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder sscaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

So i was able to get the missing files from another computer. I copied the files and ran again the SURT program. This time everything seems ok. No more missing files but i still have the same error message when trying Windows Update.

I really thank you for your help on this issue but i will just reformat my PC as i think this will be the easier solution for now.

It's unusual for an 800b0100 error to persist without any Winsxs faults - but there is a potential solution.

Please run the following command, and post the resulting npsdlog.log file from your desktop
