Windows update fail to install

hi guys when i go to windows update and view update history i see a windows update fail to install
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070643: Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB915597 (Definition 1.91.1370.0). does anyone know how to fix this problem and install it probably? here is a screen shot i take

Try Post #3 on this page. Follow the wizard type troubleshooter. This worked for several people.

This will reset as stated not delete all of them.
Windows Update - Reset

One of them should fix it or allow a reload or new download.
The downloaded file probably was messed up.
Let me know if you get it fixed.

so when i reset my windows update it deleted all of my windows update and its not goona install them anymore?

Click the start menu> then Control Panel> Then Windows Update.
The top left of Win Update page click check for updates. It will download anything missing.

It should have reset not deleted any but the bad one. Do the Windows update and it should get that one update if it didn't already

Edit : i thought reseting windows update dosnt delete ur updates

If none are available it is fixed. They are already installed.

The original download was installed properly when you reset or it redownloaded and installed it already.

If you want to double check open Control panel and click Window Defender and check for updates.

That is a new one on me.

Try to run Winows Update as I said before.
Other people have repaired their updates this past week using the same method.

Try the updater and I'll get one of the MS guys.

When you "reset" windows update, it will only show updates installed after the reset... it does not effect any of the updates that have already installed.. You're ok..
