I re-installed windows last night, and after downloading and installing all 160+ necessary updates successfuly, changed the settings to 'never check for updates' because i want to be able to do that by myself, once a week or so. However every time i check the settings, it seems that it's somehow again set to 'install updates automatically' and i don't know what's causing it.
I have installed some new software, like office and security essentials, etc, which might be what's changing the settings since they also require updates (?) but i'm not sure that's the cause, or if it's some sort of error with Windows Update, etc.
It's not a major issue, but i have heard that some updates failing can cause issues with restarting, so i would very much like to find a solution to the problem.
