Windows Update has changed my password, and now I can't open windows. This is really strange. I only did a regular shut down after installing updates, and when I restarted several hours later I am locked out.

Help. please.

Enable the hidden Administrator account and use it to revert the password. I assume you have tried "blank" passwords, etc?

I don't understand zigzag3143's answer. This happened to me today, so I care! You need to be able to log into Windows to activate the Administrator account, but I can't log into Windows at all. I've tried all my usual passwords but, as far as I remember, there has never been a password on this machine.
