I would like help with the following error codes. I'm using Windows7 32bit system
Update Error codes: 0x80070002 Phase 40 = Post-reboot install failure. & 0x8024000C FATAL: Unable to initiate asynchronous search: These codes are relating to Windows Update Database, and Windows Update components must be repaired. Also it says Update Services are not running. I do have the Update Logs if required?

As a precaution it would be advisable to create a system restore point "just in case." Or better yet, a system image. If your computer gets even worse you could restore it to its current condition and be no worse off than you are now.
