Windows update stuck, cant get the required updates to upgrade to 10!

I have an hp pavillion dv4 2112 tu running windows 7 home premium 32 bit. I want to upgrade it to win10 but i don't have the necessary upgrades to get it to upgrade on its own by the get windows 10 app. I read somewhere about the kb2952664 and the 3035583 updates and tried to install them via windows update but it was stuck at downloading updates with no traffic generated. I tried manually downloading those but the WUSA is stuck at 'searching for updates on this computer'. I've tried deleting the contents of the software distribution folder, microsoft fixit for Windows update, their troubleshooting tool(stuck at resolving) but nothing's worked. I dont have a restore point to fall back too. What dk I do now?
Edit: I tried running sfc /scannow but it's failing at 29%.

Personally I wouldn't bother with windows update, just download the ISO,

And use this tutorial,

You don't need to have those updates if you do it like that.

It should also fix your problem with windows updates, if you havn't got Kb3035583, then its NOT been working for a long time.

Yeah, as long as you have a valid license it will activate.

Yeah, as long as you have a valid license it will activate.

Hi,
I didn't have any luck activating with a oem key or win-8 key
Which you will need a key usually on the bottom or inside the battery compartment on a laptop.

You can use the phone activation and just wait for a person to answer and tell them the story which I did not try.
