Windows update working but not fully

Hi,

Tried to update windows (windows update) but the status shows some of them were not installed (pending)

any idea?

Does this still appear after you restart?

Some updates do not install until the machine is in restart or shutdown mode - getting ready to do one or the other. At that point, it will say something like "Preparing to install updates, please wait."

yes the status is same after restart (many times )

and when i tried to manully install the patch (by downloading it) it says that the update is already installed.

I think its a bug.

Maybe your update catalog is corrupted. This guide is for XP, but it's good reading and might help.

I reinstalled windows and now its fine... (takes 10 min only)
