Windows keep wanting me to update the software for a Brother printer I haven"t had for a long time. When I got rid of the printer I uninstalled all references to it, at least I thought I did. Is there a way to keep this from continually happening?

Hi Debacle1, welcome to 7F

For the time being go to windows update and hide the update for the software.
There is also a tutorial to fix a repeatedly offered update.

When you have the time you can use this to clean up any references to the old Brother printer:

The free Revo uninstaller is also good to use.
