Anyone having problem when downloading updates? I click to check for updates, then let's say it founds 200 updates, i do check them all, and click download. It says downloading 200 updates(0KB total,0%complete) and it says 0% for hours, but if i click windows menu and shutdown button says 'Install updates and then shuts down the computer) i click shutdown and it installs let's say 30 updates, i go back to windows updates and it shows 170, but i try to download them and it says 0% again, wait hour still 0%, shutdown computer and it installs 100 updates.

Is it normal or not?

The last few months windows update is taking forever, hours and hours to complete.
Set computer power options to sleep never.
Start windows update.
Recent forum member I assisted on this issue stated "after 7 hours windows update finally completed all downloads."

hi, thanx to you and Brink but the batch file is missing a cd to the correct directory for it to function properly. In other words, it failed miserably.

Don`t do 200 updates at once, just choose 20, see what happens.

It is totally normal for windows update to sit at 0% for awhile, but I`ve never seen it go for an hour without any progress.

I have seen it take hours. And, I can only suspect that as time goes on, Windows 10 D/L servers bandwidth will increase as Windows 7/8/8.1 update servers will slowdown even to a nearly unbearably slow speed. While I expect this eventually to necessarily occur as newer OS's come and older versions go, I feel like it's making anything short of Windows 10 D/L and updates very slow at a far faster rate then is just by chance. But that's just my opinion... Could be due to a large amount of people switching back and needing to update to present - IOW, I'm not suggesting M$ is necessarily doing it to push Win 10 on anyone using such tactics! They'd never do that! :o

Still, AddRAM provides sound advice, to update ~20 updates at a time! :)
