I've used copy and paste from web site antiguaobserver.com for years without bother. Since the 25 April I have noticed the title Observer gets chopped off at the bottom after the new Office updates were installed. I decided to reinstall Office 2010 and copy and paste again; this worked as usual however, when the new updates are installed again the chopping off of the title reoccurs, which leads me to believe Office updates are the problem. I've done a Word repair which did nothing to help and am frustrated and at a loss what to do next. Can anyone solve this problem, any ideas?

It looks to me more likely to be a problem with the website - it appears to be written in compliance with IE versions 6, 7, and 8 rather than more modern ones.
Having said that, it seems to be a Wordpress-based site - so if the version has been updated properly, then it should be compliant with later versions of IE as well. As far as I can tell, it's based on v4.2.1, which is the latest version.

However, Word itself is notoriously bad at interpreting HTML (and even worse at writing it).

What are you attempting to do? can you show screenshots of what you're seeing?

NoelDP, thanks for your reply. Your suggestion that it might be to do with the web site was also pointed out to me previously but as I had never had an issue with it before I didn't quite take it on board; it does now seem to be the case. This is what the title looks like after I copy and paste into Word 2010; this happens on all my three browsers.

I suspect that in this case, it's Word that is at fault - probably not properly reading the Styles (which control formatting).... unless you took the option not to use the Styles from the page you copied?

I agree with your assessment. Thanks for your input; I'll work around it and see how it works out.
