Solved Windows updates fail to install with error 0x800f0900

Hello,

I am having 7 Windows updates fail to install a system. All 7 of them come back with error 0x800f0900. The problematic updates are as follows:

(kb3000483)
(kb3031432)
(kb3004375)
(kb3097966)
(kb3060716)
(kb3033929)
(kb3071756)

I have:

1. Ran SURT
2. Ran the SFC Scan
3. Error is as follows: windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800f0900: security update for windows 7 for x64-based systems (kb3097966).
Note: All 7 give the same message.
4. Zip of CBS is attached, however, I had to remove most of the CAB files that were in the CBS folder, due to the large file size. If the other files are necessary, please let me know how I can get them to you.

I was able to resolve this issue.

I followed the following document:

and used the SURT.
