I just got a message from Comodo firewall Comodo Internet Security Release Notes
I checked Windows Update to verify and there was nothing. Is this credible or possible?

Comodo Alert for Windows Updates

When I just returned to the computer, a little alert window from Comodo popped up, saying there were critical Windows updates just released. Clicking it produced this page in the browser:

Comodo Internet Security Release Notes

I then had Windows to check for updates, and it said that there was nothing new. I have never seen an alert window like this from Comodo before, but then I haven't been using it all that long. Is this a normal behavior for it to expect in the future?

I'm assuming that page is nothing more than a simple list, that is not checked against current updates installed, otherwise it makes no sense to me at all.

It might be refering to updates that came out on tuesday. A lot of us geeky people set Windows Update to run when we tell it to, and it never hurts to give a reminder for us to actually install those updates. Other than that, I am not sure.

I can see it being a reminder, if windows update had the updates.

I did a little bit of looking around and it seems that Comodo tells you about the updates, whether you already installed them or not.

Go to Control Panel/Windows Update and check on history. This is what I got on the 13th.

I'm curious....
To receive that message from Comodo firewall presupposes that you indeed have that installed.
Do you?
Have you ever received this type of notification in the past?
