I've got some good news, and some bad news.

The good news is that I quickly and easily got Windows Vista running in a dual boot (since XP doesn't work).

The bad news is that I've got some important driver failures, that I need to at least attempt to run the game I've been doing all of this for (Black and White 2).

The display drive is obviously absolutely essential to the game, the Wireless adapter not so much, but I would like Internet access... things like Windows Update would be useful.

So basically I'm wondering how to fix this. I can't update the drivers automatically because I don't have Internet access (and my usual connection doesn't even appear - none do).

If anyone knows any specific ways to run Black and White 2 on Windows 7, that would be even better. I'm willing to do just about anything to get that game running on my computer, and it's really frustrating having every possible opportunity I have going south.

I don't have Black and White but you can try running it as adminstrator and if needed in compatabilty mode. As for the drivers download them from 7 and then boot into vista and install them.

Where would I go to get the drivers?

I've tried the stuff in compatibility/administrator mode but it doesn't work.

How about boot into vista and update the drivers and when asked search the Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository directory on the windows 7 since clearly it has the drivers you need. Other than that you would need to visit the manufactures site of each and download them.

How am I supposed to know which one is right for the handful I need?

Doesn't work.

Here's the first thing I tried:

As I thought, there were dozens of different options...

That got me to one option, but after installing that and restarting, it still didn't work.

What I'm using on Windows 7 doesn't even show up on Windows Vista.

I've tried just about everything, and nothing seems to be working. I tried downloading the driver off of their site and installing it, but it stayed the same.

Do you think I should use the drivers and utilities CD that came with the computer? I fear that might make things worse...

Yes use the drivers that came with your computer.

It's only going to affect the Windows Vista OS part, right? The Windows 7 side of it is completely normal, and I don't want Vista drivers mixing with anything it shouldn't be.

Still didn't work. It basically did the same thing as last time when I tried manually updating the display driver. It will install successfully, but it will still only have that one "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" up there.
