The power went out at my house and my computer shut off while running. When I turned it back on, no part of the windows boot sequence started. Just a blank screen after BIOS and no hard drive noise. I booted an Ubuntu live CD, and the hard drive is fine, all files intact. I ran the windows 7 DVD, and tried to fix startup problems and a system restore, still not booting. What is wrong?

What did startup repair say?

was it able to see the drive?

what faults did it report?

Did it say it fixed them?

Does bios see the HD ?

Startup repair saw the drive, said no problems, and bios sees the HD, also in linux I see the HD and can browse the files.
