Before starting anything, let me tell you that i just purchased this dell studio 16 xps laptop like 6 months ago and it was working flawlessly but yesterday i was doing some heavy work in photoshop and suddenly system began to slow down.. i thot it was a normal scratch disk full issue and closed the laptop as it wasn't that important..

then in night i opened my lappy did usual work and closed it but when i again opened it late night it just didn load. it just stops at welcome screen.. (it doesn't even say welcome..it just shows the background and loading curser) and after few seconds the screen started flickering and the rate of flickering kept on increasing.. i tried restarting..restarting after removing the battery but all in vain..
then i started using command promt+networking.. tried uninstalling , reinstalling latest upgrades but none of them helped..
i tried many solutions posted on the net..none of them worked :(

MY DRIVER: ATI MOBILITY RADEO HD 4670 (1 GB)
MY OS: WIN 7 Home premium 64 bit.

Please help :( i have much of my colg rendering work to be done..i have to submit it in 2 days i got this shit problem up with me :mad:

EDIT: I WILL DESIGN A SEXY WEB 2.0 LOGO FOR THE GUY WHO HELPS ME THROUGH THE PROBLEM...or just pay him a small token of thanks via paypal..please guys i really need to get it fixed ASAP otherwise i will fail in the test. :(

Was the CPU overclocked/underclocked?
Was the GPU overclocked/underclocked?
Were you using your hardisk as VRAM or RAM?

Also u can try:
Safe mode->uninstall grafix drivers
Normal mode, try with generic drivers
If not, go back into SM and reinstall the drivers

Try this:
IF you're able to boot into normal mode, go into it and install the graphics drivers that CAME WITH YOUR CARD (on a CD I presume).
If not, try the latest...

No. The problem is only this that i cannot access normal mode. the screen starts flickering more and more eventually on the welcome screen itself.
I can access via SM.
