Windows won't boot

Hello, anyone please need help here. I reformat my notebook with windows 7 ultimate. I installed it just fine, get updates and installed several programs. While installing MS Office, i accidentally pulled out the power supply and it turned off in the middle of the installation. When I turned back the power on, it won't boot anymore. On the black screen is just a cursor blinking. What might be the problem?
Please help me.

Boot from your win 7 dvd and do a repair my computer install.

Try tapping the f11 or f8 key during boot up to see if you get a Boot Menu screen. Or set bios to boot CD/DVD as first boot device.

When I chose to boot from CD/DVD, there is no message on the screen such as "press any key to boot from DVD", just a cursor blinking and it stops there.

If you can get it booted, do a System Restore to a point before the MS Office and that should correct the problem. Try what Doc said above and see if that gets your boot.

When you try to boot without the DVD, do you see anything on the screen or does it remain black? Are you getting any of the normal posting at all?

When you pulled out the power supply, did the computer take any kind of a physical hit (drop, bounce, etc.)? If so, your hard drive may have been damaged.
