Ive tried everything I know. Windows wont boot past the loading screen. None of the other modes work, including repair. I tried reinstalling windows (i done it about a month ago due to a different problen) and it wont load. The hard drive is still viewable in bios and I was fiddling with the menus on boot and found this error message 0xc0000225. I am way out of my depth here and could use some help.
Hrm, well if Windows can't fix it, then let's fix the BCD ourselves.
Note
I will be using C as my drive, as that is the drive that I installed Windows on. Change the letter to the drive where you installed Windows on! You must do that to be able to follow my steps!
The process will take about 10 to 20 minutes to complete.
Go to Command Prompt.
Type Bootrec /rebuilt bcd" without the quotations.
You'll see one of the following messages in CMD; 1.
Scanning all disks for Windows installations.
Please wait, since this may take a while...
Successfully scanned Windows installations.
Total identified Windows installations: 0
The operation completed successfully.
2. Scanning all disks for Windows installations.
Please wait, since this may take a while...
Successfully scanned Windows installations.
Total identified Windows installations: 1
[1] C:\Windows
Add installation to boot list? Yes / No / All:
If you see 1, go to step 4.
If you see 2, enter "Yes" without the quotations and go to step 9.
Type "bcdedit /export c:\bcdbackup" without the quotations.
You will get a message saying that the operation completed succesfully.
Type "attrib c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s" without the quotations.
Type "ren c:\boot bcd bcd.old" without the quotations.
Step 4 til 6 are basically a manual way of what the command in step 2 did automatically if you were to get message 2.
Type the command from step 2 again, to rebuilt BCD.
Type "Yes" without the quotations.
You should get a message informing you that the operation was completed succesfully.
Restart your machine, and boot mgr should be fixed now
If you still get the boot mgr is missing error, I would recommend a clean install of Windows 7, as you can find here.
Good luck and keep us posted,
Nommy

That won't be necessarily Itami.
Buying new hardware should be a last resort, not a quick recommendation.
In this OP's case a simple restore of Bootmgr was sufficient to solve the problem.
