windows won't load

guys, please help. i have laptop, now it wont load windows. i already try to go to restore point, but it said there's no restore point. in cmd promp, it read 'x:\' not 'c:\'

I have no cd installer. just try to fix from f8 option (forgot the name, its on the top option...)

please, need ur support.

I'm afraid if this doesn't fix it, I doubt I have the knowledge to assist further, so fingers crossed :/
Is there a USB drive plugged into it? Also, try taking out and putting the hard drive back in (make sure you remove the power cable and battery before doing so to avoid damage)

no usb attached,..i think it cant read the hard disk. because i can't go to safe mode either...

that could be a broken HDD :/ how old is the computer?
If you have another usable computer about, I could recommend a way for you to see if the hard drive is dead.

it just 8month. i bought in 2010, using processor i5. and yes, i have other laptop. how to check wheater the hdd is broke?

it'll be rather long winded and you'll need the following:
-preferably a blank CD
-some patience or a fast internet connection

I'm going to explain how to download Ubuntu Linux, which is an operating system that can be run as a live cd (no installation)
1) go here: Download | Ubuntu
2) click the big orange download button (no need to change any of the drop down info)
3) download and save the .iso file (it's 693.2MB)
4) once download has finished, burn the iso to a blank CD (if the other machine is also Windows 7 (may also be in vista), you can use the built in iso burning tool. if it isn't, then I'll tell you an alternative program)
5) once disk has finished burning, switch computer off
6) put disc into the problem computer and switch on
7) press whichever button takes you to the BIOS boot options (before error shows, the bios thing will be the first thing you see)
8) select the CD drive
9) three lines of black writing will scroll across the screen saying stuff like "isolinuz" etc. this is normal.
10) it will probably go to the 'would you like to install or run the livecd' screen. select live cd.
11) wait for the desktop to load.

I'll post the next steps if you choose to use this method (it'll take me a while to remember what steps need taking for the hard drive diagnostics)

along the top bar (start bar style thing) i think under the system tab there should be a hard drive tool option.
firstly though, check to see if the hard drive appears in the explorer style thing (click on the places tab and open the explorer window). If it does, and if it opens, I'd recommend backing up important files to an external HDD.
please reply whether it appears or not, just asking some of my more knowledgeable about linux friends where the disc diagnostics thing is.
