Windows wont open

I have Win 7 and when I start my laptop it goes to a Windows Error Recovery Page
Option 1 Lanuch Startup Repair - This does nothing
Option 2 Start Windows Normally - This will try an open windows but will end up back on the recovery page.
I have no backup or boot discs so would appreciate any help you may have.
