I have 2 Windows XP Professional PCs on our corporate LAN and are connecting to shares on a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit PC.

Everything is wide open on the share for access, I even have the two XP PCs connecting via the \\IP Address of the Windows 7 PC.

At times the share works for a couple of days, and then will stop working for a 2 hours, they lose access. Windows 7 is setup as a workgroup not a homegroup.

Is it because it is 64-bit?

Any help out be much appreciated. I have searched all over the net for solutions.

That's very odd. Is there a particular time of the day (the 2 hours) that they will loose the connection?

Nothing wrong with your version of windows. It is software or your hardware.

I have windows 64 bit and 32 bit hybrid in my house with no problems with shares.

Users have complained that it happens in the morning hours, I think I can concur with them on that, also to add, I have several Windows 7 PCs that connect to this share from this one PC and they don't have this problem at all.
