Is there a way i can access the programs that come with Windows XP Mode through my host on the start menu. Or if there is a way to add a shortcut to something on the virtual drive.

Two ways of doing this:

(1) inside your xpm vm, create a shortcut to the existing app in vm's Start menu, your host will have the shortcut automatically duplicated.

(2) in your Windows 7 host, copy a xp mode app's shortcut to a new name, and right click Properties, then Edit the shortcut name. It's a bit tricky, follow the syntax very closely.
