Windows XP No IE9 For You!!!!

However, if your interested in running WMP-12 on your XP machine, then have a look at this: CLICK ME

WMP-12, and WMP-11 look exactly the same, so I mistook the earlier version for the later. Sorry.

The point is, it is very old and needs to die. If MS keep giving it new stuff then people wont upgrade and new OS's and technology are handicapped by having to provide legacy support for an OS that was designed for a different era.

The point that is trying to be made, which obviously isn't sinking in much is XP is old and ancient and the support will and is dying, regardless if it was good or not, so don't expect IE9 to run on it or for it to have it.

I got Windows 7 and never touched Vista. I Just hate it and will never ever get it. That's why I went from Windows XP to 7 and missed Vista. like other sensible people.

I didn't like Vista either, and think it's an inferior OS compared to XP, and Windows 7. I thought it was way too bulky, and used too many resources. However, calling it rubbish is definately inaccurate, and just a personal opinion. Many users love it, therefore, it's a success if you ask me.

If Vista is crashing then it's dues to crappy hardware, I've installed it on 100's of PC's in the home and enterprise environments (this gives me a little more room to talk than you) and it's a nice stable OS on decent hardware that's only fault was bad press and too low minimum spec requirements.

You know, you wouldn't even have Windows 7 right now, as good as it is, without Vista. So maybe might want to reassess your assumptions on it.

Saying it's rubbish is a bit harsh. I view Vista like I do Windows 2000. It was a good OS, but the next OS that built upon it's foundation, which was Windows XP, was much better. Windows 7 builds on Vista, and is superior to it. That does not mean it's garbage.

I'am a PC Techie for last 12 months I have worked and I built Pc's for people 18 months before that. Installed 25 windows Vista's and only 8 worked right off. and no this computer is 12 months old and is a hp
