Hello:

I have been trying to Install Windows XP SP3 onto a new HP Pavilion P6537C that came factory loaded with Windows 7 Home premuin 64 bit. I am trying to do the dual boot setup. I have read all of the instructions for doing this on these and other forums, I have made several nlite discs and I have tried the XP disc without modification. I get the same result everyway I try it. The XP seems to go through the motions of the begining of an install it looks like it is writing all of the drivers to memory and when it gets to where it says stating to install windows I get a BSOD error "STOP: 0x0000007B" I have tried to trouble shoot this error but I have had no luck. Is it possible I need a miniport driver and a SATA Driver? Can anyone tell me how I would find out? I can give more details I just thought I would start with the basic problem for now.
Thanks Michael

If your Win XP CD, does not support your Sata Controller, you will need to load drivers to uses at F6.
Load Sata Controller drivers with a floppy disk is the best way.
