I have an eight year old desktop with XP SP3. Is there a way to upgrade to Win 10 Without having to buy a Win 10 Disk ?

No, and you wouldn`t even want to try, not with an XP machine, it`s too old.

You can only upgrade from Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 through the Windows update process.

You can upgrade from Windows 7 (Non SP1) and Windows 8 as well, just not through windows update.

You would have to buy it and even then there is the question of support (drivers) and computer resources.
