Windows7 has amnesia.

Every time I restart my pc since I installed it last night the pc takes like 5mins too boot and everything gets reset to the default, it's so annoying because I have to redo all my settings over and over...
What could the problem be?

I just noticed I am logged under a temp profile, so that is causing the problem and I must restore my original back.

Damn, this just happened to me too! So the only solution is to delete the User profile affected? I know I can back up my files which isnt a big deal since I save most of my stuff to another drive already, but I hope I dont have to reinstall any programs.

Id like to know what caused this. I just installed Vista on a completely different drive, so that shouldnt have anything to do with it.

Edit: Scratch that. Two restarts and my profile came back. Dont know what caused it but hope it doesnt happen again.
