Windows7 Mouse Problem

OS- Windows 7 64-bit

Mouse- logitech G500 gaming mouse


I recently upgraded from vista to windows 7 and I've noticed a problem with the way my mouse functions now. I play several video games and I've noticed that for some reason, the game doesn't register the mouse click for both left and right click. I would click multiple times and nothing would happen and then the mouse would start randomly working again, and then it would mess up again.

The error only happens in video games and it works fine outside of them. Before i upgraded to Win7, this error never happened. I've upgraded my mouse drivers and even purchased a new mouse, but nothing seems to help.

If you post back which Studio XPS 16 laptop you own we can find your driver page, or go here, and click change product if its not the correct model, and select yours then change the OS - however, it looks as though they all use radeon mobility and you might find a driver below, but try to find support for upgrading from vista to W7 also try to locate anything that may need updating.

Use this as last resort:
You might get to work with the standard mouse driver - go to device manager and find device (right click select properties) then click roll back driver if its available, or click uninstall, and reboot and hope it installs the basic driver - you can disable this firstly by typing the following in search "Change device installation settings", and select never install driver software.

I filled out the system specification as best as i could. These are the following games i am having problems with.


All Source based games (Half life 2, Counter Strike, Left 4 dead 2)
World of Warcraft

I also downloaded the drivers that whest posted, but there was no change

I see you bumped the Thread: Did you try "whest" instructions? Did you update the drivers? What happened? With no feedback it makes it hard for us to help you.

did you download the drivers as suggested by whest ,because that is what you really need to do they are the best drivers available for your system

Thanks Pebbly for solving this i'll give you some reputation points - a few months back I would of thought of this myself when we were dealing with the RC- i guess my memory aint what it used to be. Ill also mark the thread as solved.
