Solved Windows7 Pro: Random BSOD (from internet browsing to playing gaming)

Hello. I had 8 BSOD occurrences (I have 8x minidump files). It happens randomly from simple Internet browsing to playing games specifically EA games that requires connecting to Origin i.e. FIFA 12 and Battlefield 3.

My OS is a full-retail, 32-bit Windows 7 Professional. It was "freshly" installed last Nov. 19~20, 2011. My PC is a self-built rig which is around 2 yrs 10 months old with the following components:

- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 2.66GHz (Not Overclocked)

- Motherboard: Gigabyte EP45-UD3R

- Memory: 8GB DDR2

- Video Card: ATI Sapphire HD 4870 1GB. (I also installed AMD Catalyst Control Center application which I download from the ATI website).

- Sound card: None. Just the soundcard that came with the motherboard.

- Monitor: 1x Samsung Syncmaster 923NW. (I also installed the Syncmaster optional update via Winoows Update)

- Power supply: Gigabyte 650 Watts

- Cooling: Fan cooled. 1x Coolmaster fan w/ copper heatsinks for the processor. 1x additional CPU fan for exhaust.

- Harddisk: 1x Western Digital 500GB SATA. No partitions.

- Keyboard, mouse, webcam: Razer Arctosa, Razor Abyssus, Microsoft Lifecam

- Antivirus/Internet protection suite: Trend Micro Titanium 2012

Several different causes but they all were Related to fvevol.sys BitLocker Drive Encryption Driver from Microsoft Corporation. I would disable it at least to test.

I would also run the update readiness tool and then update to AP-1 Ensure you install the correct 64 or 32bit option for your system)

thanks for the advise. I will download the system update readiness tool. And by the way, how do I disable fvevol.sys? (rename it or delete it or put it in another location)?

By the way, I did a filesearch to search for fvevol.sys and it's location in C:\ drive. I expected that it's in the primary C:\Windows folder but then I found it this folder:
C:\Windows.old\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\cde11068f5b77b180111333ef9781925\x86_microsoft-windows-s..tartup-filterdriver_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6002.18005_none_306ff087dd0f78e9.

Does it mean it still affect my PC even if it's still in "Windows.old"?

Update on my BSOD. I just encountered another BSOD this morning. I haven't started Internet browsing yet nor opened any application. What I only did is turn on my Trend Micro Titanium which was apparently turned off by Windows for no reason (see attached pic), then i suddenly went *boom* Blue screen. Here the detail of the new BSOD I just encountered moments ago:

Until this moment, I cannot turn Trend Micro on anymore! It seems my situation got worst, even my antivirus/internet protection is affected by this crazy BSOD's. Has this got to do with the fvevol.sys issue as well?

I followed the instructions on the link for removing Bitlocker. But I appears I dont have a BitLocker Encryption Drive at all (see attachment 1 snapshot).

Furthermore, Windows Defender cannot be ON as well. whenever you attempt to turn Windows Defender on, a mesage will pop out:

"This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator. (Error Code: 0x800704ec)" (see attchement 2 snapshot).

And just an update: I already download and installed the System Update Readiness Tool for 32-bit (Windows6.1-KB947821-v14-x86.msu). I haven't restarted my PC though. Will this update fix my BSOD problem?

Also attached is the latest Zip dump file and perfmon report.

Related to tmevtmgr.sys Trend Micro Event Management Module causing memory issues. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security essentials AT LEAST TO TEST.
