hello mates, my first post here.
ok, let's start.
After a power loss, my computer restarted and i get the error on windows 7.
FILE \windows\system32\winload.exe
Status: 0xc0000428
info: windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file.
first thing i did is , put the Seven dvd , try to repair. (not solved)
2nd° easy bcd and fix the boot. (not solved)
3rd° Load windows XP on the boot screen , go to google , and then i find this.
http://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/30572-problem-dualboot-vista-7-winload-exe-error.html
this guy has the same problem as me , but he's with windows Vista and seven.
i've looked at the replies and i find this.
"In Vista, open an elevated command prompt, Type( or copy and paste these if you like).
cd /d f:\windows\system32
then press enter
bcdboot f:\windows /s c:
then press enter.
Close command prompt.
Restart the pc. "
ok , lets do it on windows xp , just change the partition letters F ( seven ) to c ( seven ) and c: (vista) to h: (XP)
but , when i finish the prompt thing , i get the error.
bcdboot.exe is not a valid win32 bla bla bla , the well known compatibility error.
and now is the question , how do i fix this problem , without formating the system?
thanks!
ps: my seven partition is C:
and my XP partition is H:
