Hi all, my system seems to be infected with some malware. I get this error message from time to time:

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk6\DR6

with the Harddisk# and DR# changing with each error message. Did a full scan with Windows Defender and it didn't seem to catch the location of the malware. Went through programs to see if I could catch one that didn't belong there, but that seems to be fine too. Does anyone know how I might go about ridding my system of this?

Do a full scan with Malwarebytes' Antimalware.
When does this message pop out? I mean, at any particular activity or just randomly?

Thanks! I'll give that a go. Seems pretty random. The only noticeable thing it's done to my system is pop-up ads every now and then, not at an alarming rate though.

What? Ads? Very likely a malware problem...
If you do online banking or access sites like forum, paypal, change all of your username and passwords (from a different clean pc) and let the bank know about it.. Who knows it could have installed any keylogger too as these nasties often come in groups, if not, then invite others.

What anti-virus did you scan with that let you know winlogon.exe was infected?
What verson of Win 7 do you have... 32 or 64bit?

Just wanted to say thanks for the tip on Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Scanned, detected, and quarantined perfectly and my system seems to be back to normal. Thanks again!
