Winows 7 and Ipod compatablity

Morning

I have posted this before but it was "moved" never found out why ??

I have an i pod touch songs were transferred to this from my old pc that XP

PC died and now have a new one windows 7 now sytem states non compatability of i pod with 7

I have looked at various website options or solutions to what may be the simple solution to sorting this out but no joy

Can anybody offer a solution there must be one as there have been loads of issues raied about this

Did you install iTunes? If so, did you install the 64-bit version if you're running Win 7 64-bit? I have a (I think) 5th gen iPod with video and it works fine with my Win 7 HP 6-bit.

As others have stated, the problem is not with Windows 7. You need software that supports iPod. Of course, iTunes works. I myself broke away from iTunes some years back and use MediaMonkey (as mentioned by KenC). If you prefer Windows Media Player support, here is a link (not free...30 day free trial):

The interface is a bit clunky. I tired it and let it sit on my HD for a few years, but once I started getting to know it and using it, there was no turning back. :geek:
