I found that with WinZip 12.1 if I select more than 16 files the right click context menu does not list WinZip. With 16 or fewer files the WinZip icon appears in the menu. (FYI - I had the same problem with version 12.0)

I just downloaded and installed the latest release 12.1 Build 8519 but same problem.

I am running Windows 7 Build 7100 32 bit version.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I was using Winzip 12 (8252) and it worked fine for me. One thing I did have to do was to go into the winzip configuration and check the box under "Explorer Enhancements" called "enable Explorer enhancements(including addional Drag and Drop features".

However you are correct, after reading your post I upgraded to new 12.1 and it doesn't work correctly. I have posted this with Winzip support, hopefully an answer will be coming soon.

Thanks for the reply and followup with WinZip.

Just out of curiousity I installed 12.1 on a Vista 32 bit system and it works correctly with respect to selecting more than 16 files and being able zip them using the right click menu.

Yeap that is the case. If more than 16 items are selected in windows 7, then the winzip 12.1 context menu will not function.
Any solution ?

They are aware, latest e-mail I have from tech support:

Windows 7 issues will be addressed in the next major release which is planned to coincide with the final release of Windows 7. There are no plans to release any fix prior to the actual Windows 7 release
