Wiping a hard drive and Windows help.

I have recently built a computer and installed windows. Its been about a month and i think i have got a virus or some kind. I can't run any anti-virus software and it blocks usage of games among other things. Since the computer is new and i dont have much on it i was considering of just starting fresh. I was wondering if this was a good thing to do, and if i do will i have to buy another windows or can i use the same one.

If Windows came pre-installed on your system, use this to get a fresh installation:

If you purchased Windows from a retailer, use this to get a fresh installation:

You will not need to purchase anything as long as you have a legitimate licence and key. A format and clean install is always the best way to ensure your system is 100% clean.

Before simply wiping everything out wouldn't you like to know if it is malware and not some type of hardware or other issue that needs to be looked into? On a totally new build it's always best to take one thing at a time to verify nothing else is the main reason whether hardware or some type of software clash if not simply from a bad install of the OS.
