I am running a hp dv9927cl laptop and I have been running Windows 7 for a while. One day all of a sudden I can no longer make a connection to the internet with my wired connection. The wireless works fine and can connection to the internet. While my wired connection pulls and ip can connect and transfer files from any computer on the network, however it can not do anything in an internet browser. I can also do an nslookup and it resolves an address.

Thanks

can you ping www.google.com on your wired connection. Browsing is all about DNS have you tried ipconfig /flushdns and then ipconfig /registerdns. Run from command prompt as administrator.

I'm probably facing the same issue. Suggestions were to:
ipconfig /all - show result here
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
disable ipv6
dns drop and renew, etc.
they did not work for me, but showing some data here may help others in figuring out a solution.
